4 out of 5 stars a good read   September 9, 2010

D.B. Henson's first mystery is a compact little thriller that is well-paced and well-written, with decent plot twists and believable characters. One could find fault with some logic questions in the overall plotting (can't go into it without spoilers). But what the book lacks in big surprises it makes up for with its page-turning pace.

5 out of 5 stars I loved this mystery!   September 8, 2010

I really enjoyed this book. The author kept me guessing right up until the end, which is great. I love a good murder mystery, and this book won't disappoint! The characters were fleshed out, and likeable, and the plot kept me reading until well into the morning. I hope the author hurries up with the next one!

5 out of 5 stars A Winner   September 7, 2010

I admit it. I troll for .99 books on Amazon. I can't see paying what publishers charge for their ebooks. I just won't do it. The good thing about this is that I've discovered a lot of good indie authors (I am also an indie).

This book was more than I had hoped for. I write paranormal romance and read a lot of it, so I was needing a break from that genre for a little while. I'm so glad I found this book on Amazon. It's well written, with very few grammatical or typographical errors (which are common in most indie books). The suspense was so good that I found myself carrying my Kindle around, reading even when I should be doing something else. I just couldn't put this book down. I almost always figure out "whodunit" before the end of a book, but I have to admit, I wasn't sure with this story.

This one is a winner. I was just disappointed that another book by D.B. Henson isn't available yet. :(

5 out of 5 stars Pacy thriller mystery with more twists and turns than the Cresta Run   September 6, 2010

Well-crafted, fast-paced and highly readable. The quality of the writing and the plotting put many established authors to shame. There are loads of twists, yet it's not hard to follow what's going on as the characters are all briskly but firmly sketched out.

My only criticism is the cover image, really. it doesn't do the book justice. So if you're put off by that, don't be, download and enjoy for less than the price of a cappuccino.

5 out of 5 stars Fast-paced, well-written, mystery   September 5, 2010

Toni Matthews' fiancé dies a few days before their wedding and the verdict is suicide. But Toni is convinced that he was murdered. Little does she realise what danger she is heading into as she tries to discover the truth.

Deed to Death is full of action and holds the interest of the reader from start to finish. It's hard to be sure who are the bad guys or the good guys. The book is very well-crafted and certainly keeps the suspense levels high.

It's a very well-written book with no typos and excellent formatting.

A worthwhile read for all mystery lovers.
